The seaweed is just too strange, even for Shantyland. You can see it shifting, moving about – maybe this is what the Swampsquach actually is? It wouldn't be unheard of, right? One person sees a sentient pile of seaweed and it grows into this big legend. People probably caught pictures of gangsters, for all you know. You take cautious steps forward, trying to creep up on the seaweed. But then the seaweed suddenly...falls apart! Except it doesn't so much fall apart as a handful of boguinea come tumbling out. They're making a curious squeaking-squealing noise and it takes you a second to realize that the seaweed skirts they normally have has gotten tangled – badly tangled. The group of them seem to be at odds with each other, pulling the group this way and that. It's quite likely they don't even realize they're all stuck together. (maybe write a blurb about the Ranger helping untangle the boguinea?)
You can't help but feel a little disappointed in the fact that it wasn't this supposed legendary creature. Are you getting more invested in this?
